Security - Guns, Ammo & Reloading Equipment

Security is the keystone to any food storage program. In the SHTF people who are not food secure will want yours. So it' is important to have firearms, and possibly other methods such as cameras for survellance. You want to know a threat is coming so you can be prepared, and have enough fire power to ward off any threat that presents itself. One of the best ways to be sure you have enough ammunition is to make it yourself. There are many good books about this, and the equipment is realitvely inexpensive when you consider how much you are saving over store-bought ammo (assuming that you can even get it these days!).

To have a good selection of firearms for a SHTF situation, you'll want an assault-type rifle, a hand gun, and a shot gun. I'll leave you to the experts to recommend which ones are best. It is easiest to reload for rifle or handgun and takes a different set of equipment if you'd like to do shot gun reloading too. Probably the best is stock up on one and reload for the other.
